i watched this again this past week. his courage took my breath away all over again.
most people would temper, soften, weaken their message, under the pretext of being polite to the Office of the President if not the actual man himself.
but stephen colbert did not do this. he was as straight-up, straightforward, and biting in the things that were funny and the things that didn't quite work.
